Most citation information will appear on the first page of the article; however, the location of that information will vary from journal to journal. You can find the placement of the journal name, page number, publication date, and volume and issue number located on the top or bottom of the article's page.

In order to get citation information from articles found using Google Scholar (scholar.google.com), enter your search terms and hit the search key. From the search results page, click on the quotation marks under the article's listing (see below): A box that looks like the one below will appear.

If you use Google Scholar, you can get citations for articles in the search result list. Copy and paste a formatted citation (APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, or Vancouver) or use one of the links to import into your bibliography management tool. Click on the Cite link next to your item. Select your citation style.
